Stop & Shop has partnered with Boston-based nonprofit About Fresh to provide access to debit cards for individuals and families who need more fresh food in their diets. The fresh food debit cards are accessed via a health care provider who "prescribes" them to improve food access, affordability, and choices. The program is rolling out to all the stores in the Stop & Shop chain.
