The Northeast Regional Office of AmeriCorps invites you to join us for an Intro to AmeriCorps VISTA Resources Call on December 7, 2021 from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. to learn how to apply for VISTA resources either as independent organization, through an existing network, or a new collaboration. We know that your organization is working on critical community issues that align with the VISTA program’s mission of ending poverty. We seek to partner with organizations like yours to develop strong VISTA projects to address issues related to economic opportunity, education, healthy futures, veterans and military families, environmental stewardship, and racial equity to build a brighter future for the state. We hope you will join us for an interactive discussion with organizations across the state to discuss how VISTA resources can support your work and our shared goal of ending poverty.
What is AmeriCorps VISTA? Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA) is a federal anti-poverty national service program managed by AmeriCorps that is designed to provide resources to nonprofit organizations and public agencies to address poverty and poverty-related problems in the United States. Projects must be developed in accordance with four core principles: an anti-poverty focus; community empowerment; sustainable solutions; and capacity building. Please join us to learn more about AmeriCorps VISTA, including how to apply for VISTA resources for your organization. We will answer your questions and gather your input about the current needs of your communities and how VISTA can address those needs. How do I register for the call? Please click here to register for the call. When is the submission deadline? VISTA is a non-competitive program that accepts concept papers throughout the year. The FY22 Request For Concept Papers outlines the application process and the next concept paper deadline is January 26, 2022.
