Amherst accepting CDBG proposals

The Town of Amherst is now accepting proposals for the 2026 CDBG funding round.
The RFPs are linked below and more information is available on the Town website at https://www.amherstma.gov/1122/CDBG-Advisory-Committee.

Amherst will be accepting proposals until Friday, January 23, 2026 at 12:00 pm.Â
CDBG grants are designed to enhance the quality of life for residents in the community by supporting projects that will benefit low- to moderate-income individuals and neighborhoods. The CDBG Advisory Committee, with assistance from Town staff, oversees the application and public input process. Â

Project EligibilityÂ
Proposals can be submitted for social service or non-social service projects by various parties, including but not limited to a single individual (i.e. a developer), a Town board/committee, or a non-profit organization. All activities must be completed in 18 months (July 1, 2026 – December 31, 2027). Eligible activities are listed in the RFPs and on the CDBG webpage below.

3.      By delivering written proposals to staff at the second floor of Town Hall (4 Boltwood Avenue, Amherst, MA)Â
