Feb 03: Saving Lives with Overdose Prevention Sites

An update from Hampshire HOPE:

Many of us have seen the recent news out of New York City showing the effectiveness of overdose prevention sites for saving lives. Are you wondering where Massachusetts currently stands on opening an OPS here in the commonwealth?

Come for a lunchtime discussion and Q&A session with Representative Lindsay Sabadosa and Jim Stewart of SIFMA Now who will provide an update on the current Bill H.2088: An Act relative to preventing overdose deaths and increasing access to treatment.

For those who are looking for a related action item, you can write to your local representative to show your support. Jim has provided a templated letter below that you can personalize.

Though we are talking about the current bill status, it's important to recognize the local, statewide, and national grassroots efforts that have led us to where we are today for this important movement to save lives. A huge thank you to many of our coalition members who have been leaders, movers, & shakers.
