Town Hall w-Sen. Comerford: Nov 21

An invitation to a Nov 21st Town Hall from State Senator Jo Comerford:

Please join me and our team for a virtual Town Hall on November 21 beginning at 6:00 p.m.

We will gather to take stock of the 2023-2024 Massachusetts legislative session, the impact of the November election, and — together — we’ll chart the course ahead.

I will offer timely updates and there will be ample time to hear your feedback and answer questions.

Thursday, November 21

6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Via Zoom

Registration is required — sign up here.

I know there are a range of thoughts and emotions in the wake of Election Day.

The people of our state Senate district did not speak with one voice. Approximately 70% of voters cast a ballot for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. Roughly 27% voted for Donald Trump and J.D. Vance, with 3% voting for a range of other candidates.

Some folks who are reading this email voted for me and some did not.

Regardless of how you voted, I work for you.

I entered state government because I believe states can be great innovators. We need new and creative ways forward now.

States are also lines of defense for our people, with the ability to address their immediate needs and to protect them from more volatile national politics.

Let’s come together as one big sprawling community of 175,000 people on November 21 at 6:00 p.m. and find the way forward.

Registration is required — sign up here.

English live transcription (subtitles) and translated captions will be enabled and available. Find a full list of languages offered here. The transcript will be posted on SenatorJoComerford.org after the event.

Disclaimer: The translated captions may not be perfect, but it is important to make this town hall as accessible as possible. We will post the transcript after the event on our website, and that will be available for more translation as needed.

The Town Hall will be recorded and shared online for those who are unable to attend. We are also working with community television stations to broadcast the recording.

If you have any accessibility concerns, please contact Director of Communications and Engagement Katelyn Billings at katelyn.billings@masenate.gov.
