Early Ed & Child Care Listening Sessions in July

Check out this important update from Senator Jo Comerford's office:

As part of the Governor’s Gateway to Pre-K agenda, Governor Healey signed an executive order that established an Early Education and Child Care Task Force that was charged with crafting recommendations to ensure affordable and accessible child care.

The Healey-Driscoll Administration is hosting a series of statewide listening sessions to gather stakeholder input that will inform the Early Education and Child Care Task Force’s recommendations and broader efforts to ensure accessible and affordable child care for families across Massachusetts. The task force’s work is led by the Administration’s Education, Labor and Workforce, and Economic Development Secretariats

These listening sessions will engage educational and business leaders, working parents and caregivers, child care providers, and larger interested community members to gather insights and recommendations that align with the task force's five key policy objectives, including reducing costs, increasing capacity, and improving quality of early education in Massachusetts.

There will be 12 listening sessions, listed below, 7 regional in-person sessions and 5 virtual sessions, including a virtual session led in Spanish. The goal is to collect valuable insights and recommendations to inform the task force’s recommendations and broader efforts. If you plan to attend an in-person or virtual session, please let me know.
