Pathlight has announced the departure of John Roberson, who will be returning to CHD where he was a longtime staff member. Their new interim Executive Director will be Keith Kendall.
Kittleman, a search firm, will partner with Pathlight to secure a new ED for the organization.

Dear friends of Pathlight,
It is with a mix of emotions that Pathlight’s Board of Directors must announce the departure of Pathlight's Executive Director, John Roberson. After a year of dedication, John has decided to return to CHD, where he previously worked for 33 years, in pursuit of a better work/life balance that aligns with his family and career aspirations. His last day with Pathlight is set for July 21, 2023.
During his time with us, John played an indispensable role in Pathlight's achievements, including CARF accreditation, OQE licensing and certification, and securing an award to continue providing residential services through the Department of Developmental Services. These milestones ensure that Pathlight can continue delivering high-quality services to the individuals we serve.
While we bid farewell to John, the Board is determined to maintain the organization's stability and continue our mission. We have selected a seasoned interim Executive Director to steer us through this transitional period, and we are excited to introduce Keith Kendall, hailing from New Jersey, to all of you.
As we embark on the search for a permanent CEO, Keith will work closely with the leadership team and the Executive Committee of the Board. This collaboration ensures that day-to-day operations run seamlessly, and the organization remains stabilized, prepared to welcome our next permanent Executive Director. That search process will likely take six to nine months, and we have already engaged Kittleman, the search firm we utilized previously, to prepare for the upcoming search.
In parting, we extend our deepest gratitude to John for the significant contributions he made to Pathlight. We wish him the very best in his future endeavors. Let us welcome Keith with open arms and offer our unwavering support as we navigate this transitional period together.
